My aim in therapy is to offer a place of unbridled freedom. I hope to connect, to get to know you, and to be a part of your unique life-world. As a queer trans man, I am familiar with the difficulty and importance of finding a place where you will be accepted and cared for for who you are; I see the therapeutic space as an opportunity to be who you are without judgement.
I approach therapy from a humanistic-existential lens and, as such, I strive to engage with my clients from a place of curiosity and care. I believe in the importance of being myself in the room and strive to work with my clients to create a space where authenticity, openness, freedom, playfulness, vulnerability, and understanding abound.
I hold a master’s degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I find great joy in working with other trans and gender non-conforming folx, as well as children and those struggling with mood related concerns.
I have specific experience working with those who are experiencing:
Mood related concerns, such as bipolar
Gender-related concerns
Interpersonal difficulties
Substance use challenges
Psychosis
